Dwayne Johnson drew inspiration from his father, Rocky Johnson, for his approach to nutrition. During the interview, the star of the Fast and Furious franchise elaborated on his eating habits and their development. Johnson shared,

“I have established a routine when it comes to food. I tend to stick to the same meals for extended periods of time—days, weeks, even months. It may seem monotonous, but it provides consistency and discipline. I inherited this practice from my father, Rocky Johnson, who was a devoted fitness enthusiast. He was the first professional wrestler to possess the physique of a bodybuilder.”

“At a young age, he instilled in me the importance of eating for nourishment rather than solely for taste. He began teaching me this wisdom when I was just five years old. It’s probably why I jokingly say I might need therapy.”

“Well, I have six meals throughout the day, and they are all fairly consistent in terms of nutrient composition. For breakfast, I typically have eggs, lean meats like bison, a complex carbohydrate like oatmeal, and some fruit, usually papaya or blueberries. My second meal, around 10:00 A.M., usually includes a chicken breast, a complex carbohydrate like rice, and a serving of greens. For dinner, I prefer fish or chicken, paired with a complex carbohydrate such as sweet potatoes, and another portion of greens.”

When it comes to macro counting, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson explained that he keeps a close watch on his macronutrient intake. He stated:

“I do notice noticeable results when we fine-tune the macros. The protein ranges from 40 to 45 percent, carbs from 40 to 50 percent, and fats from 15 to 20 percent. We have refined this approach to a science where we ensure optimal macros, and as a result, I never feel hungry. This is crucial because training and adhering to a specific diet for a goal demand discipline, even though it’s common to experience hunger.”
