The Beriev A-100 Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft successfully took its inaugural flight with the radar system fully operational.

Experts from the Vega Concern, a division of Ruselectronics Holding, and the Beriev Aircraft Company (TANTK), which is part of PJSC “UAC” under the Rostec State Corporation, successfully conducted the inaugural flight of the A-100 long-range airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, with the onboard radio equipment activated.

The conducted tests have affirmed the proper functioning of the specialized equipment and the aircraft’s onboard systems, even in a high-intensity radiated environment. The flight specifically evaluated the aircraft’s aerodynamic performance, avionics, and the designated components of the radio equipment that required examination. All the aircraft systems performed flawlessly within the specified parameters, signifying their readiness for subsequent testing phases.

According to Sergey Parkhaev, the crew commander and an esteemed test pilot from the Beriev Aircraft Company (TANTK), the flight proceeded in a standard manner. All systems and equipment operated flawlessly, and the crew successfully fulfilled the flight objectives by thoroughly assessing the aircraft’s stability and controllability across the designated flight modes. The Beriev A-100 is a Russian-built airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, designed as a successor to the Beriev A-50 in the Russian Air Force fleet.
